NTPC Limited has issued an open tender for the supply and installation of a 780 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system at its Kaniha Solar Plant in Odisha. The project is scheduled to be completed within 180 days from the date of award.
The tender has been issued under Tender Reference No. NTPC/USSC-CPG1/9900330400 and Tender ID 2026_NTPC_110839_1. The tendering process began on August 10, 2026, with bidders allowed to submit clarification requests until August 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
Bid submission will open on August 18, 2026, at 9:20 AM, while the final submission deadline is August 31, 2026, at 4:30 PM. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on September 2, 2026, at NTPC’s Western Region Headquarters II in Raipur. Bids will remain valid for 120 days.
Participating bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹2 lakh through online payment. The tender does not provide an exemption from the EMD requirement. Successful bidders will also need to provide the required Performance Bank Guarantee/Bank Guarantee in accordance with the contract conditions.
The bidding process consists of three covers, covering fee-related details, technical and pre-qualification documents, and the financial BOQ price bid. Bidders must also comply with NTPC’s safety standards, applicable local supplier requirements and regulations concerning entities from countries sharing a land border with India.
The tender reflects NTPC’s continued focus on expanding solar generation within its existing facilities and increasing the use of renewable energy across its power infrastructure. The Kaniha project will add further solar capacity to NTPC’s renewable energy portfolio while supporting the broader expansion of clean power generation in Odisha and across India.
