SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has invited bids for the development of up to 1 GW of grid-connected solar PV projects across Punjab and Rajasthan.
The tender covers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) along with land arrangements for the projects. The selected developers will also be responsible for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services for five years.
Bidders can participate for capacities of 250 MW, 500 MW, 750 MW or the full 1,000 MW. The overall capacity has been divided into four packages of 250 MW each, with allocation to successful bidders following an e-reverse auction.
Each 250 MW package will include two components. For 100 MW, the contractor will be responsible for supplying solar modules as well as the other equipment and systems required to complete the project. For the remaining 150 MW, SGEL will provide the solar PV modules, while the contractor will handle the balance of materials, equipment, construction and commissioning.
The projects are intended to supply renewable electricity under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed between SGEL and Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL).
The tender represents another major solar development initiative by SJVN Green Energy and is expected to contribute to the expansion of utility-scale solar capacity in Punjab and Rajasthan, two important states in India’s renewable energy sector.
