KELTRON Invites Bids for Solar Power and Street Light Projects Across North and East India

Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation Limited (KELTRON) has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible agencies to implement solar power plants and solar street light projects across North and East India.

The EOI, issued through KELTRON Equipment Complex in Thiruvananthapuram, seeks to empanel agencies for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities. The selected partners will handle site surveys, design, equipment supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning, along with maintenance and warranty support.

The tender was published on August 24, 2026, and bids can be submitted until September 4, 2026. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on September 7, 2026.

Eligible bidders must be Indian companies with at least three years of experience in the renewable energy or power sector and an average annual turnover of ₹100 crore during FY 2022-23 to FY 2024-25. Applicants must also have experience in installing or supplying at least 20,000 solar street lights in India.

The empanelled agencies will be responsible for arranging project-related financial requirements, including bid security and performance guarantees, on a back-to-back basis as specified for individual projects.

The empanelment will initially remain valid for one year and may be extended for another year. The initiative is expected to support the deployment of solar power and solar street lighting infrastructure across various parts of North and East India.
