Insolation Energy Bags 99 MW Solar Project Order from MSEDCL in Maharashtra

Insolation Green Energy, a subsidiary of Insolation Energy Limited, has secured a 99 MW AC (128.7 MW DC) solar project order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0.

The company received the Letter of Award (LoA) for developing nine decentralized ground-mounted solar power projects across multiple locations in Maharashtra. The projects will be implemented under 25-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to supply clean electricity to the state grid.

₹425 Crore Investment Across Nine Solar Projects

The projects involve a total investment of approximately ₹425 crore, including GST, for the installation of 128.7 MW DC solar capacity.

The power will be supplied at a levelized tariff of ₹2.90 per unit, as finalized under the MSEDCL tender.

Clean Power Generation for 25 Years

The nine solar plants are expected to generate around 20.59 crore units of electricity annually and provide an estimated annual revenue of ₹59.72 crore over their operational life.

Insolation Energy will be responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of the projects for 25 years under the long-term PPAs.

Strengthening Maharashtra’s Solar Capacity

The projects are expected to be commissioned within 18 months from the execution of the PPAs and will contribute to Maharashtra’s efforts to expand decentralized solar generation under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0, supporting clean energy supply for the state’s agricultural sector.
