Roofsol Energy Pvt Ltd has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Associated Capsules Group (ACG) for a 5 MWp solar power project integrated with a 4 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Maharashtra.
The project marks Roofsol Energy’s first BESS order in the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment and strengthens its focus on providing integrated solar and energy-storage solutions to industrial customers.
Under the project, solar power will be combined with battery storage to help ACG optimise energy consumption, improve energy resilience and increase the use of renewable electricity across its operations.
ACG is a global manufacturer of pharmaceutical capsules and packaging solutions, serving the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. The company has also been increasing its focus on sustainable manufacturing practices.
The project highlights the growing adoption of solar-plus-storage solutions in India’s C&I sector, as industrial companies look for reliable and flexible clean-energy solutions while reducing their dependence on conventional power.
