Enfinity Global has commissioned and commercialised its Mundargi solar power plant in Karnataka, marking another step in the expansion of renewable energy supply for India’s growing commercial and industrial sector.
As part of the project, CtrlS Datacenters Bangalore will procure 5 MW of renewable electricity to support its data centre operations. The project is expected to provide clean power to CtrlS and other customers across energy-intensive sectors, including manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
According to Enfinity Global, the plant achieved Commercial Operation Date (COD) in around 100 days after the signing of the final Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), highlighting the company’s focus on rapidly delivering renewable energy projects.
The Mundargi solar project is also expected to offset around 15,000 tonnes of coal consumption annually, contributing to emissions reduction and supporting India’s transition toward cleaner energy.
The agreement with CtrlS highlights the increasing demand for renewable electricity from data centres and other high-energy-consuming industries as India’s digital infrastructure continues to expand.
