Axis Energy has partnered with Lumara, a renewable energy platform launched by Brookfield in India, to develop a 400 MW utility-scale solar power project in Nandyal district, Andhra Pradesh. The project is planned to expand solar generation capacity along with the transmission infrastructure needed to evacuate the power.
400 MW Solar Project in Nandyal
The solar project will be developed at Nandipadu Village in Nandyal district. Axis Energy will be responsible for the development, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the solar power plant.
Transmission Infrastructure
Along with the solar plant, Axis Energy will develop a 400 kV Pooling Substation (PSS) and an associated 400 kV transmission line.
The transmission system will connect the project to the Kurnool III CTUIL Substation, allowing electricity generated by the solar plant to be evacuated to the national grid.
Project Targeted for 2027
The project is targeted for commissioning in 2027. It is also expected to create employment opportunities for local communities during the construction and operational stages.

The partnership strengthens Axis Energy’s role in utility-scale renewable energy development while contributing to the expansion of solar generation and supporting transmission infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
