The Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids for the comprehensive operation, maintenance and management of a 5 MW Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) power plant located at MHOW, Madhya Pradesh.
The estimated value of the contract is ₹8.67 crore, with the work planned for a period of 10 years. The selected contractor will be responsible for the regular operation, maintenance and overall management of the solar power plant.
The tender was issued by the Headquarters Chief Engineer, Jabalpur Zone, under Contract Agreement No. CEJZ/MHOW/51 (T) of 2025-26. The procurement will follow a two-cover bidding system, consisting of technical and financial bids.
Eligible contractors will be required to submit their bids through the official defence e-procurement portal. A non-refundable tender fee of ₹3,000 and an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹75.85 lakh are applicable under the prescribed tender conditions.
The tender is primarily open to MES-enlisted Class ‘S’ contractors under Category b(ii). Unenlisted Indian firms may also participate if they meet the required financial, technical and experience criteria, including relevant government-work experience and financial capability.
The technical bids will be evaluated first, with eligible bidders then proceeding to the financial bid stage. The selected contractor will be required to provide the necessary performance security before commencing the work.
